We hear this question all of the time, “Why don’t wedding venues list their prices on their websites?” Well, I am here today to give you the answer, and honestly, it’s a pretty easy one.

The Real Answer To “Why Don’t Wedding Venues List Their Prices?”

We are one of those venues who don’t list their prices. Some have this myth that venues just want you to come in and fall in love and basically trap you into booking with them. However, that is not the case at all. A common question we get from brides when they call or email us is, “How much is a wedding at your venue?” To be completely frank, we don’t know.

A wedding at our venue can cost you anywhere from $5,000-$40,000. It all depends on what you are wanting to have at your wedding. Do you want steak and lobster or just light appetizers? Do you want a cash bar or an open bar? 100 or 200 people? These are just the basic questions we ask our brides, because no two weddings are the exact same.

why don't wedding venues list their prices

The reason we want to get you on the phone or get you to come tour the venue isn’t because we want to get you on the hook and make you fall in love with the venue to where you can’t say no. The reason, is to tailor the package to your exact needs. We are an all-inclusive venue, so our “base prices” include just about everything you would need for your wedding. But, let’s say you already have someone that will make your cake for you, well that’s in our base price and so it would have to be taken out, which would make the “base price” even lower. So, you see, if you call us and ask us what our prices are and we tell you “$10,000”, you might freak out.

Without giving us the opportunity to mention what all it includes and how we can tailor it to you and your budget, you might write us off. Obviously, we don’t blame you for asking, because what else would you ask? You want to know how much a wedding would cost. My advice, call a venue, ask what they offer in their packages, give them an idea of what you’re wanting to have and how many people and THEN ask about pricing. I can GUARANTEE you that they will be more than happy to give you that “base price”. Keep in mind, that price can and will fluctuate. Then, the venue will ask you to come in for a tour and you can accept or decline.

So, the next time you wonder why you can’t find any wedding vendor pricing listed, refer to this blog. To summarize, we don’t list prices, because they are customized to fit your needs. Plain and simple.

With that being said, if you would like more information on our venue, like pricing, please give us a call at 281-487-4033. BUT, take my advice on how to go about calling us and we will give you pricing every single time.

With all of our love,

Silver Sycamore
