Server Position

We are looking for a Server to join our incredible team for Pine Street Cafe. The cafe is open Tuesday-Sunday 8am-2pm. This position schedule will vary throughout weekdays and weekends.

This position is very important as you will be the first impression our guests will have upon entering the restaurant!

General Job Duties include but are not limited to:

• Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner, seating them at their tables and providing menus.
• Take food and drink orders from customers, ensuring accuracy and attention to special requests or dietary restrictions.
• Provide recommendations on menu items, specials, and beverage options.
• Communicate orders to the kitchen and/or bar staff promptly and accurately.
• Serve food and beverages to customers, ensuring proper presentation and adherence to quality standards.
• Check on customers during their meal to ensure satisfaction, refill drinks, and address any additional requests or concerns.
• Process payment transactions accurately, handling cash, credit cards, or other payment methods.
• Provide excellent customer service by anticipating and fulfilling customer needs, answering questions, and addressing any issues or complaints.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the serving area, including tables, chairs, and condiments.
• Assist with general restaurant tasks, such as setting up tables, restocking supplies, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with other restaurant staff, including kitchen and bar personnel, to ensure smooth operations and a positive dining experience.
• Uphold company policies and procedures, including following proper food handling and safety protocols.
• Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required.
• Upsell menu items and promote specials to enhance the dining experience and increase sales.
• Adhere to scheduling and time management guidelines, arriving on time for shifts and fulfilling assigned duties within the allocated timeframe.

Prep/Line Cook Position

We are looking for a Prep/Line Cook to join our incredible team for Pine Street Cafe. The cafe is open Tuesday-Sunday 8am-2pm. This position schedule will vary throughout weekdays and weekends.

Requirements for the position:

• Love to work with people
• Know food, have good knife skills, and work quickly and precisely
• Thrive in a busy, organized environment
• Enjoy teamwork
• Seek long-term employment—one year or more
• Understand that hospitality staff works when others are playing, especially on Saturdays, Sundays and during the Holiday Season (Nov. 1 through Dec. 31)
• Welcome a drama-free, smoke-free, drug-free environment
• Can lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis

• Assist the head chef by chopping vegetables and washing food items
• Ensure kitchen equipment and appliances are ready for use
• Maintain a clean and hygienic work environment at all times
• Prepare salads, breads, salad dressings and sauces
• Gather food ingredients from the refrigerator or freezer as required by the chef
• Ensure food is stored away properly when not in use
• Study the menu and prepare ingredients ahead of schedule
• Learn about the cooking methods and techniques employed in the kitchen
