We have been hosting Corporate Christmas parties for companies from all over the Houston area for the last 17 years, so we feel like we have a pretty good handle on things.
Is your company small, but you still want to give them a great dinner party? No problem, the cafe is the perfect spot.
Do you want to have dinner and space to dance or a photobooth, but still keep it small? Easy, the Saloon is calling your name.
Maybe you are looking for a really upscale and elegant dinner party for over 50 people? Look no further than the Reception Hall.
Even though it can be “cold” in December, you want something outside and in a unique setting? The Town is where its at.
Okay, let’s say you want to have a party they’ll never forget… You can reserve the entire grounds during our Hometown Holidays & Trail of Lights event. (more on this later)
For anything small or large and every style of party in between, we can help you out. We can host anywhere from 20-1,000 guests depending on what you are looking for.
When to Start Planning?
Okay, so let’s start here first. Some might think, eh, I’ll start planning this in November. Well, if you are going to use an actual event venue, like Silver Sycamore, then you will be hard-pressed to find an open date.
The ideal timeline to, at least, book a date at a venue is around July-August. Wow, I know that feels early, but getting your event on the books is the main step in planning your company Christmas party. From there, throughout the remaining months, details can be worked through and finalized as you get closer.
At our venue, we often already have weddings booked 1 year in advance, so some dates get snagged earlier than usual. We also have companies who have their Christmas parties here every year and just reserve the same weekend every single year, so that’s already booked up. Basically, don’t wait and just hope your ideal date will be available. And just remember, weekends are always the dates that get booked up first.
How Much Do You Want to Do?
Now you know when to start. The next thing is to consider if an all-inclusive venue, like Silver Sycamore, is right for you.
If you don’t want to look for outside vendors, if you want to know it will all be coordinated, if you want to just essentially show up ready to party, then all-inclusive is right for you. Meaning, we are right for you!
What Type of Party?
All-inclusive is your route and we have you covered. Now, let us know what type of party you want to have. As you read in the beginning, we can host all different types of parties, but let’s take a look at a few from the past and then we can discuss that very intriguing option of having an entire trail of lights to yourselves.
Dinner party in the Cafe – up to 30 guests. Very quaint and perfect if you have a small company that you just want to come together and treat to a nice dinner.
Saloon Party – Depending on how you go about this one you have can up to 50 guests seated and more if it’s a come & go type event. You can utilize the bar area and the lounge area. Leave space for dancing, games or a photo booth even!
Reception Hall – Typically used for a more elegant type of Christmas party. You don’t have to worry about any potential cold nights since you’ll be inside. Fitting up to 200, this is perfect for most companies. The party can have dinner, speeches, dancing, games, entertainment of most kinds, etc. There is a lot that can be done.
Street of the Town – Definitely a showstopper for this one. We will set you up in the street of SycamoreVille, or you can change the sign and make it “YourCompanyVille”. We have our large Christmas tree set up out there for the picture perfect backdrop. You can have a few hundred out there, rent a mechanical bull, have different food tents, games and honestly, the possibilities are endless. If it happens to be a cold evening, we have heaters that can be put out.
Reserving Hometown Holidays
Now, this is a completely inclusive and totally different type of Christmas party for your company. Talk about one they’ll never forget!
Every year we donate our grounds to Hometown Holidays & Trail of Lights to have a large trail of lights that encompasses our entire property. It’s tons of fun and the proceeds go to Time to Level the Playing Field, a non-profit that provides musical instruments to local Pasadena ISD students who could really soar in their musical education with the right instrument.
Well, you can buy out the entire evening so that tickets aren’t sold and it’s a completely private trail of lights just for your company! Have dinner, walk the trail, take pictures with Santa and so much more! This will be limited to certain nights, so booking this ahead is even more important!
We know that we can talk about all of the fun stuff and it’s exciting, but the reality is, there is usually a budget to consider. Luckily, because we have so many options, we can accommodate a wide range.
Here are a few things that affect budget:
– guest count
– type of catering
– day of the week
– time of day
– type of entertainment or amount
and a few other small things.
However, we want to be 100% transparent with you, so the best thing to do is to inquire online or give us a call with the ideas you already have and we can give you some options.
