Kim & Theo’s Elegant Wedding at Silver Sycamore

When we asked Kim if we could feature her wedding on our blog, her response was “I am so excited that you are going to feature our special day. It seems like it was just yesterday because I can remember every second of that day.”

And that is exactly how we want every one of our brides to feel. Happy, excited and remembering every moment of their special day.  Although their big day wasn’t long ago, we also remember it so fondly. Kim & Theo were the absolute sweetest couple. You could really feel the love radiating throughout, and we are thrilled to share it with all of you. We hope you enjoy our little chat with Kim, but most of all, her & Theo’s beautiful pictures. Maybe, you’ll take some inspiration for your own big day!

We asked Kim a few questions about her big day and here is what she had to say.

1. What was your favorite part of your wedding day?
“For me it was finally seeing Theo waiting for me at the end of the aisle. The look on his face is definitely one I will not forget. The moment he started to tear up I knew how happy he was. All the planning, challenges and time was worth it for just that moment. “

2. What was one moment you were looking forward to on your wedding day?
“I am excited about when I finally get to walk down the aisle and have my love see me in my dress for the first time. I cannot wait to see his reaction.“

3. If you could give one piece of advice to brides planning their weddings currently, what would it be?

“Work together to plan things out. Also when you get overwhelmed don’t hesitate to ask for help. Schedule things out and be mindful that this day is for both of you. To celebrate your love for one another.

Don’t stress. You are in this together. It will be tough at times. I know for myself it was a huge challenge to balance my career, getting through grad school, graduating, moving into a place of our own and planning a wedding all at the same time. But that’s what made our day even that much more special for me because we made it through together. You are a team and your day is going to be special. It will go by quick so savor every moment.“

Y’all this is so incredibly important, and we are so glad that Kim offered this advice. Oftentimes, we make weddings all about the bride, but you must always remember that it is BOTH of your days. Include each other in planning, hear each other and make sure you are both truly happy with it.

4. Why did you choose Silver Sycamore as your venue?
“It is such a beautiful venue. We fell in love with it as soon as we saw it. We knew that this was the place we wanted to get married. “

Simple, to the point and now they are husband and wife starting a beautiful life together!
